Today we decided to rest and get acclimated to our new home away from home. Ryan slept in like a teenager while Christa and I grabbed some bagels at Connecticut Bakery. After breakfast, which Christa explained to me is called that because it breaks her fasting period, we went to the neighborhood grocery called the Associated and enjoyed a much different shopping experience. First our buggy was quite small compared to what we are used to and we had to consider what we were able to carry home so we could not get a lot. The store was full of organics. In fact, the Jiffy peanut butter was on the bottom shelf and the organics were at eye level. Yeah! After going to the grocery, we took our laundry in to get washed priced $1 a pound. Not sure if it is worth it--next time we will do it ourselves. It does come out ironed and all so that is nice. We walked everywhere today except when we moved our car to the parking garage because I can't do the street parking thing. I am not a city girl when it comes to parallel parking nor am I good at remembering the days I have to move the car to the other side of the street to avoid the street sweeper. Another great day of adventure today. Tonight we are headed into Manhattan to see a Broadway Show. It is called Harvey and should be wonderful--it is the kid's first time seeing a Broadway play vs. a musical so we will see what they think.
